I attended a seminar given by Canadians for Properly Built Homes in 2005. At that time we had purchased a building lot and were looking for a builder. At the conclusion of the seminar I had many concerns about the problems that could occur with the construction of a new home. I am happy to report that we are now living in our new home and we had a very good experience with our builder, Maple Leaf Homes.
Maple Leaf is owned and operated by Fred Carmosino and Brian Saumure. We worked with Brian on the design of the house from the fall of 2005 through the winter. Construction began in June of 2006 and we moved into the house in November of 2006. Throughout the design and construction, we were in near constant contact with Brian and Fred about all aspects of the project. We visited the site every day to monitor the progress. They were always pleasant to deal with and responded quickly to our concerns or questions. Inevitably there were some glitches, but they were always dealt with satisfactorily. The house was delivered on time and on budget. I feel confident that our home has been built to specifications by trustworthy tradespeople using good quality materials, and that it is a sound investment.

When we first bought our land and committed to building a custom home we thought, "Wow. What have we gotten ourselves into?!". Brian and Fred quickly put us at easy and made the design and building process smooth and even enjoyable.
